Rihanna gets candid about some of the dark sides of motherhood, which included postpartum hair loss, as she revealed that she had lost hair in patches after she gave birth to her two children.

During the launch of her latest business venture, Fenty Hair, the beauty mogul spoke with Refinery29, and she admitted that hair loss after giving birth was unexpected.

"I did not expect it to happen in waves, either. I thought it would just happen and grow back," she said, adding that some parts of her hair would fall off in different places.

Despite losing some of her hair in the process, Rihanna said she took it as an opportunity to change her style and embrace it.

"I learned to embrace that in itself. That just actually made me get a little more creative and clever with my hair stuff," she added.

For the launch event of her product, Rihanna ditched wigs and braids to flaunt her natural hair on the red carpet. The singer could be seen rocking her natural curls, which were colored with a shade of honey.

In other interviews on the red carpet, she revealed to E! News which actress she wanted to portray in a biopic. The singer immediately answered Escape Room star Taylor Russell and one factor in her decision was based on the physical attributions.

"You know why? Because she's got, like, a nice forehead," she said, adding, "she's, like, fly. And I feel like I want to be her, so I want her to pretend to be me. I want people to see me in that light."

Rihanna also spoke to Entertainment Tonight to tease fans about her ninth studio album, saying she's starting over with the project but didn't want to neglect the tracks she already worked on.

"I actually want to go back and listen to stuff with new ears, with my new perspective and then see what applies and what I'm still in love with," she said.

The Fenty Beauty founder then revealed that she's ready to record her new album in the studio. However, she has yet to share more details about the project's release date.

In other updates, Rihanna launched Fenty Hair, her latest product that aims to repair damage to all hair types.
