Former Spandau Ballet singer Ross William Wild, who is accused of rape and sexual assault, reportedly filmed the encounters he had with his victims, the court heard.
On Tuesday, June 11, Wild's trial at London's Wood Green Crown Court began after several women came forward with horrifying stories involving the singer. He is facing sex offenses for assaulting five women and raping three of them between 2013 and 2023.
Prosecutor Richard Hearnden, per The Telegraph, said that Wild has a darker side due to his alleged kink for having sex with sleeping women.
"His darker side is not the first thing that many women and girls notice about him. But the women in this case can all attest to that sinister part of his personality. For it is alleged that he has raped, coerced, and sexually assaulted a number of young women over the last decade," said the prosecutor.
Hearnden added, "It is often supposed that men such as the defendant, blessed with good looks and star quality, can get any girl he wants without having to resort to committing sexual offenses, without having to resort to forcing himself on women, without having to resort to rape."
The prosecutor noted there had been victims of Wild who came forward to reveal the embattled musician's predatory behavior and how he resorted to rape and sexual assault if he could not get what he wanted.

During Tuesday's hearing, the court heard how Wild secretly filmed himself raping his first victim following an argument at his Finchley, North London, property in October 2013.
Wild allegedly captured more footage when he sexually assaulted a third woman at the Cannes Film Festival. Meanwhile, he also reportedly filmed a fourth victim while performing a sexual act without consent.
The fifth victim alleged she woke up finding Wild having sex with her.
Wild quit Spandau Ballet 11 months after joining the group. At the time, he informed The Sun how humiliated he felt after not having the chance to say that he quit.
"I told Spandau I wanted to leave and they wished me luck. I couldn't afford to be left on a shelf, not knowing where my next meal was coming from," he told the outlet then.
