Maren Morris debuted a new song expressing her reluctance to fall in love again, just one day after publicly sharing her bisexuality following her divorce from Ryan Hurd.

In an Instagram post celebrating Pride Month this Monday, Maren joyfully announced, "Happy to be the B in LGBTQ+, happy pride!"

Her declaration came five months after finalizing her divorce from Ryan, whom she had been married to for five years before filing for divorce last October.

The day after revealing her sexuality, Maren performed her song "I Hope I Never Fall in Love" live for the first time during a concert in Colorado.

According to Us Weekly, the ballad features lyrics where she sings, "I hope I never fall in love again," firmly stating that her past romance was her last.

Introducing the song with a touch of humor at Red Rocks, Maren told the crowd, '"When you hear the title, you're going to be like: 'OK, b****. Yeah, right.'"

"This song I wrote with my friend Delacey. This song is called I Hope I Never Fall in Love. It's pretty [self]-explanatory," she added.

The song begins introspectively, "I take another page from my hero's book, I haven't slept for days and the pressure's cooked." Despite initial thoughts of potential attraction, by the chorus she decisively declares, "I hope I never fall in love. I hope I never fall in love again. I'm not taking it back."

Maren goes on to express her resolve to maintain her independence, pledging to "be a good girl" and stay away from emotional entanglements, or at least "keep it to myself if it ever happens."

Reflecting on her past experiences with love, she concludes in the final verse, "I was once a b**** when it came to love. I'd get a little hit and be all messed up. But I loved him from the bottom and I saw the light. God as my witness, that was the last time."

Maren and Ryan, both country music artists, were married in Nashville in 2018 and have a four-year-old son named Hayes. Their divorce, initiated by Maren last October citing 'irreconcilable differences,' was finalized five months ago.

Despite her personal challenges, Maren has continued to focus on her music career, emphasizing that songwriting has been her way of processing emotions and experiences.

After years of supporting LGBTQ+ causes, Maren publicly embraced her bisexuality on Instagram this Monday and declared this to her fans.
