When law enforcement officers encountered Justin Timberlake driving erratically in Sag Harbor, New York, they were forced to take action.

The young police officer who apprehended the NSYNC superstar for driving under the influence was unaware of his identity, underscoring the surprising encounter.

Information obtained by insiders revealed to Page Six that the law enforcement officer who conducted the traffic stop appeared to be quite inexperienced, as he was unaware of the identity of the famous singer.

According to sources who spoke to the outlet, the officer was unaware of the driver's identity when he was stopped. Following a failed field sobriety test, authorities apprehended the 43-year-old performer and transported him to a nearby police facility, where he declined to take a breathalyzer test.

Timberlake reportedly was overheard muttering softly, "This is going to ruin the tour." The officer inquired, "What tour?" Justin responded, "The world tour."

Timberlake, initially gained popularity as the frontman of a 90s male vocal group and later carved out a thriving solo career in the 2000s, is currently on a global journey to showcase his latest album.

Timberlake was reportedly pulled over while driving a 2025 BMW. Upon inspection, the officer concluded that the individual was under the influence of alcohol.

The "Cry Me A River" singer reportedly exhibited signs such as bloodshot and glassy eyes, a strong smell of alcohol, sluggish speech, and difficulty staying focused.

He engaged in a sobriety check involves performing tasks such as walking heel-to-toe along a straight line, turning, retracing steps, or balancing on one leg.

When questioned by the officer, Timberlake claimed he had consumed "just a single martini" and was trying to keep up with his friends on the way home.

Upon his apprehension and arrival at a local precinct in East Hampton, Britney Spears' ex declined to take a breathalyzer test.

The following morning, Timberlake was observed walking across the bridge accompanied by police officers from Sag Harbor police headquarters.

In disbelief, the dad-of-two seemed dazed while being escorted by law enforcement officers.

Following a swift arraignment, which resulted in a one-year driving ban in New York, Timberlake exited the courtroom without the need for bail, sporting a baseball cap.

Timberlake is scheduled to appear in court again on July 26, 2024, facing charges of DWI, disregarding a stop sign, and lane violation.
