Billy Ray Cyrus has been in the music industry for a long time now, and since he has had very successful songs over the decades, he has earned a massive amount of money. However, it was recently reported that his net worth dropped by millions of dollars.
According to InTouch Weekly, the musician had a net worth of $20 million last year, but when 2024 came, it dropped a massive $10 million based on an estimate by Celebrity Net Worth.
The musician's career took off in the early 90s when his song "Achy Breaky Heart" became a massive hit, and it's still one of his most famous songs ever. He later released tracks like "Some Gave All" and "Could've Been Me. Throughout his career, he dropped 16 studio albums and 53 singles.
He later dabbled into the world of television by starring in the hit Disney Channel show Hannah Montana with his daughter, Miley Cyrus. The show ran for five years.
Although it's unclear how much he made on the show, The Things reported that supporting actors aside from Miley earned $15,000 per episode.
Unfortunately, Billy Ray previously told GQ that he regretted starring on the show because it "destroyed" his family.
"I'd take it back in a second. For my family to be here and just everybody be okay, safe and sound and happy and normal would have been fantastic," he said.

He later went back to acting in 2016 when he starred in the sitcom Still the King.
Billy Ray had a resurgence in music in 2019 after he collaborated with Lil Nas X for the remix version of "Old Town Road," which broke many records, including the longest-running No. 1 single on Billboard Hot 100. It was previously reported that the singer earned $15 million from the song, but he never confirmed whether it was true.
The musician and his ex-wife, Tish Cyrus, got married in 1993 and share five children. The ex-couple first attempted to separate when Tish filed for divorce in 2013, but they were able to make their relationship work after reconciling.
However, their romance ended in 2022 as their divorce was finalized.
Billy Ray then married Firerose in October 2023, but less than a year after the wedding, the singer decided to file for divorce.
More recently, an insider claimed to People magazine that he is "more relieved every day that he's done with his marriage" following his filing. Their marriage only lasted seven months.
