Billy Ray Cyrus Denies Domestic Abuse; Accuses Firerose of Abusing Him: Report

Page Six obtained legal documents wherein Billy Ray Cyrus "vehemently" denied his estranged wife's "mind-boggling" domestic abuse allegations.

According to the "Achy Breaky Heart" singer, it was the other way around.

In the filing obtained by the outlet, Cyrus alleged that he was "not only verbally and emotionally" abused by Firerose but "physically" as well.

However, Cyrus confessed to being "vocal, frustrated and angry" in one of their arguments weeks before the divorce was filed; he argued in the documents that it was he who "has been abused."

The outlet also noted that the handwritten apology note left by Firerose proves Cyrus' claims of being abused, as she was "so sorry" and she wanted a "chance to make this right."

In the filing, Cyrus also claimed that his estranged wife threatened him that she would ruin his career if he tried to divorce her, telling the public that the reason for their split was that she got a double mastectomy. Indeed, Firerose revealed that she was informed of the divorce a day before she received a double mastectomy surgery.

On June 18, 2024, People obtained the filing where Firerose claimed that she suffered from "extreme" domestic abuse at the hands of Cyrus.

According to the complaint, Firerose accused Cyrus of having substance abuse that made him "unpredictable and volatile."

"Wife was the victim of extreme verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse," the complaint said. "Wife was subjected to Husband's persistent drug use accompanied with the consumption of marijuana which made Husband unpredictable and volatile towards Wife."

Firerose filed a lawsuit in Tennessee denying that she's "guilty of inappropriate marital conduct," blaming Cyrus, insisting that her living condition was "unsafe." She also alleged in the complaint that Cyrus "continuously launched verbal assaults" at her and placed her "into an emotional and psychological prison," describing that her life was in "chaos."

Meanwhile, sources close to Cyrus revealed to People that the Country singer is separating from Firerose because "she isn't the person he thought he married."

"He believes that she married for other reasons but love," the insider alleged. "He believes she married him so he can take care of her financially. They've had drama and trust issues about money."

Cyrus allegedly wants the Australian singer "out of his life." Thankfully, they have a prenuptial agreement, but "he's disappointed right now, but surely will turn it around quickly."
