In a recent revelation, Tim Ryan, Shifty Shellshock's sober coach, sheds light on the rapper's last moments.

During a recent interview, the addiction expert provided an update on Seth Binzer's living condition before his tragic death.

Ryan said Shellshock was at some point in his life, homeless, telling TMZ, "The last I had heard about [Shellshock], he had been bouncing from house to house and then he'd been living in a tent in McArthur Park."

"My wife Jennifer [Gimenez] was in Los Angeles last week and actually received a phone call that they had located where he was."

Upon announcing his intentions to travel to California to find Shellshock and guide him toward treatment, Ryan soon realized that his efforts were in vain. Reflecting on the situation, he lamented, "[Shellshock] could help anybody, love anybody, but he had a hard time loving himself."

Ryan shared that his recent interaction with Shellshock happened approximately two and a half months back. He reportedly faced difficulties and unfortunately experienced a setback by going back out there.

But despite the struggles, the rapper's remarkable trait was his readiness to assist others in seeking treatment and transitioning into a sober lifestyle, prioritizing their well-being over his own.

"But the thing about [Shellshock] was he would be more willing to help somebody else get into treatment and sober living than help himself."

At the age of 49, the lead singer of Crazy Town passed away due to a drug overdose on Monday, June 24.

Following the official announcement by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner that Shellshock had passed away on Monday, June 24, the band's manager, Howie Hubberman, disclosed that the rapper's death was attributed to an unintentional drug overdose.

In a statement to Us Weekly, the manager said, "Seth Binzer, after struggling with addiction and Crazy Town's rapid success with 'Butterfly,' never was able to reach out on a more successful level to deal with his addictions."

"We all tried, but ultimately we all failed, or Shifty would still be here."

"The cause of death was a combination of prescription drugs and street-purchased drugs. Shifty was a friend and really wanted to get himself fixed - unfortunately, no one had the exact tools to do this, myself included."
