This year's Glastonbury Music Festival just concluded, and fans enjoyed headliners Dua Lipa, Coldplay, SZA, and other performers throughout the massive event. The festival is set to return in 2025, but organizers have confirmed that the 2026 edition has already been canceled.

The event, which is held at Worthy Farm in Somerset every year, will take a "fallow" year in 2026 for the venue's land to recover from the thousands of fans who have visited over the past years.

According to Emily Eavis, one of the organizers and the daughter of Glastonbury's founder Michael Eavis, "(It will) give the land a rest. The festival before a fallow year is always a fun one to plan, because you almost have to fit two years into one."

Regarding their plans for next year, Eavis revealed to the Sun that they are already in talks with some musical acts that will perform in 2025.

"We're already in talks with some acts for it. It's exciting!" she said, later expressing her gratitude to those who attended this year, "I really would like to say thank you to everyone who's made this year so special... It's got to be the best one yet. Every single one of our vast, incredible crew is crucial to making this event work."

"I think people here show a better way to live, and that they do take a little bit of that back to the outside world with them. It honestly restores your faith in humanity," she added.

Even though Eavis considered this year their best, the festival faced several issues.

SZA took the Pyramid Stage on Sunday evening to close the event, but many noticed that she drew a smaller crowd than Dua Lipa and Coldplay. In addition, her set also encountered technical difficulties, with her microphone sounding muffled and muddy for the first 30 minutes.

In addition, some fans were frustrated after prominent artists were placed on smaller stages, which caused overcrowding in some parts. Later, some areas were closed to prevent crowd issues, and one performer's set was cut short.

As of this writing, tickets for next year's edition are still not available, but the Birmingham Mail reported that they would be available sometime around October.
