TMZ has obtained information and photos showing Ray J throwing a tantrum after being denied entry into the Peacock Theatre at the 2024 BET Awards.
In the obtained material, the singer argues with guards who are preventing him from entering backstage again. Ray rips off his shirt in fury, threatening the security that he'll take things further if he isn't allowed entry.
"I didn't bring the ghetto to BET yet, but I'm about to!!!," he said.
While lashing out, Ray was seen holding a beverage and sometimes smoking. The outlet was unclear if he was under the influence while he was arguing with the guards.
Sources revealed that Ray was "hired by BET to host 3 events throughout the weekend, including a backstage access show Sunday night."
However, he "kept going back and forth between inside and outside during his breaks without wearing his credentials," which annoyed the guards.

The sources confirmed that Ray went out 15 times through the gates without his media credentials. Thirty minutes after the event ended, the guard stationed at the door got fed up with Ray, who wasn't wearing his ID. The TMZ source alleged that Ray thought the move to deny him entry inside the backstage was racially motivated, as he claimed that the guard who denied him entry was white.
After the altercation, Ray took to social media and made a disturbing declaration.
"The s**t that is happening is mind blowing - it's making me suicidal and uncomfortable with the perception of reality!" Power 105.1 quoted Ray's now-deleted Instagram Story. "Then it all went bad! First at #BET and then later on too! I'm really at a breakin [sic] point! These chain of reactions stemming from being locked in a false reality/confused about this whole life! THe s**T that happened tonight to me at the awards today was hurtful."
Ray claimed in his post that he was denied entry for "some reason."
"I don't know who they didn't want me to see - it was weird - anyway I left and went back to silence my frustrations... The s**t that is happening is mind blowing - it's making me suicidal and uncomfortable with the perception of reality! THEY PAID ME TO SHUT UP AND I DID! I FEEL BAD AND I HATE MYSELF FOR IT!" he added.
