Snoop Dogg Hits the Pool With Michael Phelps at 2024 Paris Olympics: 'We Go Back Like the Backstroke'

Snoop Dogg got into the water with Michael Phelps and received a swimming lesson from the 28-time Olympic medalist in a new video for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

On Tuesday, NBC posted the video of Phelps and its special correspondent for the 2024 Summer Olympics, who met to help Snoop learn how to become "fast in ze pool."

In the clip, the rapper arrived at the private indoor pool wearing a red, white, and blue swimming robe to represent Team USA. Phelps was also ready, wearing a sporty navy jacket and a white top with the American flag.

"See, me and M.P., we go back like the backstroke," Snoop told the cameras before asking Phelps, "Now M.P., how does one get fast in the pool?"

Phelps responded that lung power and wingspan are the key to picking up speed in the water.

"I definitely have great lung power," Snoop joked. "And I do have a swimmer's body."

The two men then showed off what Snoop called their "twin"-like bodies side-by-side.

The pair stripped down to their bathing suits and put their swimming caps on their heads. Unlike Phelps, Snoop refused to use goggles.

The rapper proceeded to dive under the water and start swimming freely, arm over arm, until he ran out of breath at the other end of the pool.

"Swimming's tough, huh?" Phelps laughed.

"It is!" Snoop replied.

For the second lap, Snoop put on his goggles, and the men kicked off the side of the pool and swam together. The rapper noted that Phelps made the sport look too simple after realizing lung power was no joke in professional swimming.

"As you see, I'm in gold-medal condition," Snoop told NBC Sports. "And he's still in gold-medal condition ... as we speak."

Snoop ended the segment by acknowledging the Phelps family and jokingly giving a shoutout to the team that will provide him with oxygen after the swimming lesson.
