Talks of an NSYNC reunion have been reignited after the band was referenced in "Deadpool & Wolverine," but Chris Kirkpatrick said it will only happen if all members are fully committed.

As the buzz about a potential reunion grows, fans are eagerly anticipating the possibility of NSYNC embarking on a tour or releasing new music as a group.

Kirkpatrick has addressed the speculation about a potential NSYNC reunion involving himself, Lance Bass, JC Chasez, and Joey Fatone, but without Justin Timberlake, who allegedly expressed interest.

The 52-year-old singer firmly dismissed this idea, telling TMZ, "Those are just complete rumors because no discussions were made. There's no thought of four of us."

He also revealed a major obstacle that could hinder any plans for a comeback.

"It's the five of us. It will always be the five of us. We talked about this years ago about the four of us possibly going out. But it just didn't seem right," Kirkpatrick explained.

He clarified that a potential NSYNC reunion hinges entirely on the participation of all members, adding that the group won't make any moves if Timberlake won't join.

"The reincarnation of whatever it was going to be was not exactly what we wanted. So, if we do anything, it'll be the five of us," he clarified.

"The pressure is definitely mounting with this movie ('Deadpool & Wolverine'), and I know it's pushing us to talk a little more than we normally would have talked about," Kirkpatrick added. "But we'll see. It would be great if it happens, and if it doesn't, I'm happy being on this tour and doing this pop 2000 stuff and enjoying life."

"Deadpool & Wolverine" opens with Deadpool energetically dancing to NSYNC's iconic song "Bye Bye Bye." The dance sets the stage for an action-packed opening credits scene widely shared and parodied on social media platforms.

According to Billboard, "Bye Bye Bye" has seen a huge increase in popularity across multiple streaming services following the film's debut. It climbed to the 32nd spot on the Spotify daily top 50 U.S. chart. From July 26 to 29, the song acquired 3.35 million official on-demand U.S. streams, marking a 382% increase compared to the previous week's figure of 695,000, recorded from July 19 to 22.

Having initially peaked at the fourth spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2000, there is potential for a resurgence on the Hot 100 if the streaming numbers continue to rise steadily in the upcoming period.
