Britney Spears reportedly left those closest to her stunned when she reconciled with Paul Soliz.

TMZ reported that the "Baby One More Time" singer's recent actions left her friends and family bewildered as she spent time with her on-again, off-again boyfriend earlier this week.

The pair had lunch in Malibu just weeks after Spears took to her Instagram account to share the news of her breakup with Soliz and declare in a now-deleted post that she was "single as f**k."

Unnamed insiders told TMZ that Spears' inner circle are concerned about Soliz's criminal history. The "Toxic" hitmaker's brother, Bryan Spears, and others are also troubled by the idea that she appears to be giving him another chance despite realizing not long ago that he was only using her, according to the sources.

Spears' close friends only discovered through paparazzi snapshots that they were back together, the insiders added.

On July 7, Spears expressed her frustration with Soliz for allowing the paparazzi to capture a photo of them together in her car earlier in April and declared that they were over.

However, Spears raised eyebrows and sparked rumors that they were rekindling their romance when she was seen spending time with Soliz again just a short while later.

Photos published by the Daily Mail captured Spears and Soliz enjoying a meal at Soho House in Malibu on Tuesday, appearing relaxed and content in each other's company.

The pop superstar radiated positivity, while Soliz sported a broad smile as they mingled with friends outside the venue.

They initially crossed paths when Soliz was hired to work on Spears' home during her marriage to Sam Asghari. Over time, their professional interactions developed into something more.

But concerns immediately arose within Spears' inner circle regarding Soliz's intentions, with some suspecting ulterior motives.

An alleged altercation with Soliz -- which prompted a medical response -- at the Chateau Marmont in May raised alarms about the mom-of-two's mental state.

Dismissing the rumors, Spears stood by her relationship with Soliz -- who has been charged with multiple offenses, including felony possession of a firearm -- despite alleged objections from her vigilant brother.

Soliz's former partner Nicole Mancilla also expressed concerns about his reputation, alleging that he has been neglecting his parental responsibilities to a total of nine children.

She claimed to the Daily Mail, "Just let them know that my husband fell in Britney Spears' p***y."

"He was married, and now he denies his children," Mancilla alleged. "He neglects his children for her. He doesn't support any of them."
