Introducing The Showers - A New Urban Gospel Family Group

The Showers, 10 siblings from Louisiana, first started getting regional attention in 2009 when their independent debut album Hear My Prayer, released. Since then, they have been honing their sound and working to build up a solid fan base that spreads far beyond their local area. Next year, due to a partnership between their label, A&P Records (Aquila & Priscilla) and Habakkuk Music/INgrooves Fontana for distribution, their music will go out to the masses.

Their self-titled follow-up album, due out next summer, will be the group’s national debut. The first single, "Praise Your Way Through," which featured production from Bruce Robinson, Jr. (Justin Bieber, Fantasia, Joshua Rogers) and vocal production from GRAMMY award winner Myron Butler (Tamela Mann, Marvin Sapp) and Shawn Willis, went all the way to the Top 30 on the Mediabase Gospel Songs Chart with an accumulative listening audience of over 1 million ears. Being named Bobby Jones' "Power Pick of the Month" for this month is helping to continue to spread the word.

Their equally powerful second single, "Better," which was written and produced by one of gospel's most noted artists, Deon Kipping, is currently gaining traction on the radio. A lyric video is coming up on the 75k mark on Youtube and this weekend, they are back home in Hammond, Louisiana, filming the music video for the project.
