The saga continues. Just one day after War on Drugs frontman Adam Granduciel finally addressed his bizarre feud with Mark Kozelek of Sun Kil Moon in an interview with Songs for Whoever, calling him an "idiot," a "prick" and a "douche," among other things, Kozelek shared a new song titled "Adam Granofsky Blues" — Granofsky being Granduciel's actual last name. In this new song, Kozelek reads Granduciel's quotes about the situation over some blues guitar licks, laughing hysterically between each line.
It is an incredibly surreal song, and depending on your feelings about the feud, a pretty funny one, too — though you probably will not like it if you hate Kozelek. You can check out Kozelek's "Adam Granofsky Blues" over at the Sun Kil Moon website.
It's your move, War on Drugs. Saying nothing about Kozelek did not work, and apparently insulting him made it worse, so try coming up with a Plan C. Maybe you guys should write your own song about it, since Kozelek's already written two.
If you need to refresh your memory about the details of the feud, you can listen to Sun Kil Moon's "War on Drugs: Suck My C--k" here:
Sun Kil Moon's Benji and the War on Drugs's Lost in the Dream were selected by Music Times as two of the best albums released in the first half of 2014. You can check out that entire list here.
