The Barbz still have a month and a half to go until Nicki Minaj releases her long-awaited new album The Pinkprint now that the album has been pushed back. Late last night, Minaj dropped a series of teaser videos to Instagram to hold everyone over until December 15.
The Khalil Kavon-directed visual is split up into two clips and features a mashup of footage from "Pills N Potions," "Looking Ass N***a," and "Anaconda," followed by a thumb being pressed into pink ink to make a fingerprint over dark, ominous background music.
The Pinkprint has been supported by the singles "Pills N Potions," "Anaconda," which peaked at No. 2, and "Only," which features appearances by Drake, Lil Wayne, and Chris Brown. The singles "Lookin Ass N***a" and "Yasss Bish!!" might also be featured on the album as they were also released this year.
Confirmed producers on the project are Dr. Luke, Polow da Don, Da Internz, Cirkut, and Detail.
The Pinkprint will follow up 2012's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. Its title is a reference to Jay Z's The Blue Print. This will be Minaj's third studio release.
The album was originally slated to drop Nov. 24 but was pushed back to Dec. 15 for undisclosed reasons.
Beyond working on her own album, Minaj has also been featured on a few guest verses this year including Beyoncé's "Flawless" remix and Jessie J's "Bang Bang," which also features Ariana Grande.
