One of the premiere music festivals in Australia, Future Music Festival has now put the tickets on sale for each date on the five-day tour. The festival has only announced the first wave of acts on the bill that span several genres, but so far artists like Avicii, 2 Chainz, Drake, The Prodigy, Martin Garrix, Afrojack, Kiesza, Example and others will be performing across Australia.
The festival travels to five cities around Australia as the summer winds down between Saturday, Feb. 28 and Monday, Mar. 9. The festival will hit the major cities, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane.
FMF is still reeling from the events at its Malaysia edition last March. The last day was canceled after reportedly six people passed away from drug overdoses. The festival has been given a second chance and will surely look to beef up security and safety measures. The Australian edition has not been mired in such concerns, but since the Mushroom Group, an Australian entertainment conglomerate and the festival aligned in 2013, they will have to be wary of their public image.
The lineup thus far is coming together as one would expect for Future Music Festival with a strong leaning towards dance music with a nice balance in other genres. One of the main headliners, Avicii has been unable to perform at any shows over the past few months due to health concerns, so we will see if he has returned to full form in time for this next round of festival dates down under.
As reported by Mixmag, you can now grab tickets for each date on the Future Music Festival website now.
