Australian dance music festival, Stereosonic has finalized all additions to the 2014 edition. It already announced the headliners over the summer when tickets when on sale. Some of those headliners who will travel along the 5-date festival tour include, Calvin Harris, Tiësto, Skrillex, Alesso, Carl Cox, W&W, DJ Snake, Laidback Luke, Steve Aoki, Disclosure, Diplo and many others. Now the festival has rounded the full lineup with primarily local acts to keep an Australian flavor to the festival.
Just three weeks away, there have been hundreds of local artists that will join the Stereosonic along their trek around Australia according to In The Mix. Some of those artists include Wasteland, Nick Galea, SCNDL, Slumberjack, Reece Low, Ember, Motorik Vibe Council and many others. They will all join for one date on the tour to allow for more local acts to be booked. Stereosonic is pretty unique in this aspect that it puts such a heavy emphasis on local acts to balance all of the international heavyweights that come on tour. A lot of festivals will highlight local acts, but not the amount of local acts Stereosonic manages to put on the bill.
Stereosonic is a 5-date traveling festival that will hit five different cities across Australia, hitting in order, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane. The DJs all hit each of five stops and enjoy the experience because it is like a traveling circus of DJs all hanging out and partying together. It is a luxury for international DJs to play the summer season twice a year and Stereosonic is another one of those gifts.
Two-day and single day tickets are still on sale now, so head to Stereosonic's website to grab them now. Scroll down and keep going to see the lineups with the local acts for each day of the festival.
