Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will ring in the New Year in Las Vegas. The pair announced the event, which will take place Dec. 31 at the 1OAK club in Sin City, with a wacky promotional video. Mack and Lewis inspect the whole club from top to bottom to make sure it's ready for the gig, Billboard notes.
The "Same Love" duo want you to come to the event so badly that they went there first to check on everything. Mack fluffs some pillows, slides down what appears to be a stripper pole, dances with a few cocktail shakers (because that's what bartenders do), sweeps the floor and even shines a giant disco ball. Check it out below.
Although Lewis and Mack's impressive album, The Heist, came out two years ago, the pair continue to reap the benefits. The album racked up a ton of awards with singles like "Thrift Shop," "Can't Hold Us" and "White Walls." They dropped a new single titled "Arrows" in August and discussed what they're currently working on.
"We've been working very, very hard," Mack said. "Ryan's got some flames."
"We are working everyday on this next record," Lewis added. "[We] want to make an album everybody's proud of."
Recently, Macklemore has been speaking out against the Ferguson decision.
The system that instills & protects white supremacy wins again. Humanity loses...No justice. I pray for Mike Brown & his family. So sad.
