Ludacris is just more than a week away until the release of his upcoming EP Burning Bridges and has taken to Instagram to preview some new material from the EP. A long time coming from the Atlanta rapper, Ludacris gets set to drop a new EP ahead of his upcoming album Ludaversal, slated for release March 31.
In a series of six Instagram clips, Christopher Bridges — hence the name Burning Bridges — better known as Ludacris, teases "In My Life" in two different settings. The first is Luda sitting in a room alongside John Legend, playing the instrumental that sounds like a throwback Timbaland beat, before putting Ludacris apparently in the home of Quincy Jones to play the jazz legend a section of "In My Life" that mentions Jones.
Each clip displays a different section of "In My Life," though we do not get to hear any of the contributions from John Legend, via Fist in the Air. From the small bits of Ludacris's verses we are able to hear, Burning Bridges sounds like it will be a victory lap for a man who has made a successful living away from rap for the past five years in film and as a business owner, via The Huffington Post.
It has been four years since we have seen a new studio album from the decorated Atlanta rapper. He has appeared on a few features, but nothing as extensive as a full-length EP or album. Check out the Instagram clips below and get ready for the EP Dec. 16.
