In October, Ty Dolla $ign first broke news of his debut album Free TC, and now he is unveiling more deets on the release. According to a recent interview, the album will drop in spring 2015 with features from R. Kelly and more.
According to Rap-Up, Free TC is slated for a March or April release. Appropriately named after his brother who is locked up, Ty says his long-awaited debut represents more than just an album.
"It's for a purpose," he said. "He's locked up for something that he didn't do. It's many people out here that get injustice, as you've seen Mike Brown, Trayvon Martin, everything that's happening on the news right now. It has a purpose. It's gonna be the biggest album of 2015."
The "Paranoid" crooner is pulling out all the stops for his debut with guest spots by Jagged Edge, YG, Wiz Khalifa and R. Kelly, who appears on a record called "Actress."
"It's definitely a jam and I can't wait to see what it does out here in these streets," he said.
Kendrick Lamar will also make an appearance on Free TC on a track simply titled "L.A."
"It's like an anthem for L.A. It's gonna be crazy," he said. "Kendrick is the homie and I hope I can get on his new project."
Following the album's release, Ty plans to embark on his Free TC tour. Earlier this year, he hit the road with Wiz Khalifa for his annual Under the Influence tour.
