Rick Ross decided to pay a visit to the folks at Good Morning America and while there, he dished on his 85-pound weight loss with Sara Haines.
As fans have noticed, the self-proclaimed "biggest boss" is looking noticeably different these days. Ross said with the help of his CrossFit RossFit training program and a few diet changes, he was able to shed nearly 90 pounds. He said his decision to make a lifestyle change came after he suffered two seizures two years ago.
"I woke up from that and I was like, 'Wow, I really need to re-evaluate what I'm doing,'" the MMG rapper said.
He famously added pears to his diet and cut out soda and alcohol. Ross also noted that he's been getting more sleep. While Ross once served as the poster child for overweight men women love, he said the change is only for the better.
"I feel I'm fat boy forever. I'm going to always be a fat boy. But it most definitely was just something I had to do," he said.
Despite the change in his physical appearance, Rick Ross said his music will never change.
"My music comes from the heart, that comes from my mindset," he said. "After I sit down and absorb this great interview, it's something that's gonna come to me that I can put into a record."
Last month, the "If They Knew" rapper released a new video with Funny or Die featuring instructions for his #ROSSFIT workout regimen.
USA Pears spokeswoman Kathy Stephenson told Modern Farmer that there has been an increase in social media following after a snippet from Rick Ross' interview with DJ Tim Westwood went viral.
"I eat pears now and s--t like that," he said in an interview this year. "Shout out to all the pear."
