Adele could not attend the wedding of Elton John and David Furnish this past weekend, so she decided to send a nice, handwritten letter to the happy couple.
"Biggest congratulations my loves," it read, according to The Daily Mail. "Have a wonderful day. I'm sorry we are not there. See you in 2015. Love Adele, Simon and Angelo. x."
John then posted the letter on Instagram as part of a post-celebration pic that showed off all the nuptial swag he piled up.
"The perfect end to the perfect day," his post read. "So many kind thoughts and wishes. #ShareTheLove"
As previously reported, John was pretty pumped about Britain's new laws that allowed him to tie the knot with Furnish after nine years together.
"I'm very proud of Britain and the laws that we've seen come into existence since we've been together," he said. "Having our civil partnership was an incredible breakthrough for people that have campaigned for a long time —through the '60s and the '50s in England when it was so hard to be gay and hard to be open about it. And it was a criminal act. So for this legislation to come through is joyous, and we should celebrate it. We shouldn't just say, 'Oh, well, we have a civil partnership. We're not going to bother to get married.' We will get married."
Moving forward, John will perform in New York City on New Year's Eve. His performance is set to take place following the iconic ball drop, and will come alongside sets from Taylor Swift, Florida Georgia Line, MAGIC! and dozens of others.
