It seems as though having a beef with someone is more common then not in many music circles. A new one seems to start every day and can linger on for months, sometimes years. It is far easier to get in contact with someone you may or may not know with social media at your fingertips by just Tweeting at the person you have a problem with. Even with all of the temptation to start beefs and keep them going, sometimes differences get settled and that is what DJ Mustard and YG managed to do on Instagram. (via Billboard.)
It is always refreshing to see artists put aside their differences and squash conflicts that generally start and end on social media.
DJ Mustard and YG's beef started when DJ Mustard alleged that he never got paid for YG's album, My Krazy Life. YG, in response, made the counterclaim that he never got paid for Mustard's album and the pair went back and forth in a series of now deleted Instagram posts.
They have settled their differences, where it started -- Instagram. The last post from YG was him showing Mustard dodging his calls to try and talk about what was going on, so it appears that they did get on the phone and talk it through. When you have matching Rolls Royce's, there is no bridge too far.
Mustard produced 11 tracks on YG's My Krazy Life and the partnership between them has been strong for some time. It would have been surprising to see something like this not get resolved.
