Rita Ora might be on Jay Z's Roc Nation label, but it's his wife Beyoncé that she pays homage to in a new video she posted to YouTube with the caption, "Happy New Year from the ORA team!!" The clip is a recreation of Bey's instant-classic viral video for "7/11," which premiered in November. The original shows Queen Bey dancing on her balcony while wearing a "Kale" sweatshirt and white robe before she takes the dance party to the bathroom, bedroom and hallway of her Beverly Hills hotel suite. Ora's version is similar but is shot on an iPhone. She filmed it while on vacation in St. Barts with her friends.
The clips shows a bikini-clad Ora throwing her hands in the air and smacking the deck of a private yacht. She reenacts Bey's blow-dryer scene and preps for her New Year's party with a pillow fight. Her friend Elizabeth Hilfiger and her famous designer father, Tommy Hilfiger, also make cameos in the video.
Ora is set to join Tom Jones, will.i.am, and Ricky Wilson as a coach on the fourth season of The Voice in the UK. She recently attended the launch party for the season, which begins Jan. 10 on the BBC and shared photos from the event on her Instagram.
She also stars as Christian Grey's sister, Mia, in the highly anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey movie, which is due out on Valentine's Day.
Fifty Shades of Grey isn't the only film Ora has been involved with recently. She is also featured on the soundtrack for the romantic drama Beyond The Lights with her Diane Warren-penned song "Grateful." The film is still out in select theaters after premiering back in November.
