Nas Performs 'Children's Story' as Part of Slick Rick's 50th Birthday Party [WATCH]

Last night, The Ruler celebrated his 50th birthday in style, bringing along a handful of special guests, including the infamous Nas. Slick Rick, also known as Rick The Ruler, celebrated his special day at the Brooklyn Bowl in New York City, alongside Nas, who wore a generous amount of gold chains in honor of the birthday boy’s standard and notorious style.

It was reported that Nas presented Rick with a massive cake that was shaped like a crown during the evening's festivities, and following cake, the two performed a song together.

Nas and Slick Rick shared the stage to perform “Children’s Story,” a classic hit single off of Rick’s 1988 release, The Great Adventures Of Slick Rick.

Later in the evening, Nas posted a photo of the two friends on Instagram, captioning the candid with “HAPPY BDAY SLICK RICK THE RULER!!!!!!”

Slick Rick performed, as well as Nas, Amy Lynn and The Gun Show, which is a soul/rock fusion act featuring seven members.

Rick’s debut album, The Great Adventures of Slick Rick, attained platinum status and helped to gain him notoriety in the hip hop world. The Ruler has a couple of tour dates for early this year slated, after spending a good chunk of 2014 on tour in the US, celebrating the last two decades of his career.

Rick The Ruler is clear on making sure everyone knows that turning 50 won’t slow him down.
