Is Johnny Depp Getting Ready to Part With Longtime Agent After Four Film Flops?

If you have not made a beeline to the theater to see Johnny Depp in Mortdecai, do not worry: You have saved yourself some torture, as the film has been called the one of the actor's "worst flops ever". Obviously, not every film is going to be a hit, but Depp's major problem is that the last four of his have absolutely tanked. Mortdecai being the worst of the bunch seems to indicate that his choices have been getting worse instead of better. The actor is said to be so crushed by the critical panning of his recent performances that he is contemplating some major changes. According to a report by Page Six, Depp might be considering a change in management and might be looking to part with his longtime agent.

"Depp -- who has been with United Talent Agency's Tracey Jacobs since she spotted him on 21 Jump Street in 1988 -- is said to be devastated over his string of flops, including his latest, Mortdecai, and is considering how to move forward, with one source saying he has approached Scarlett Johansson and Leo DiCaprio's manager Rick Yorn," said the report.

Perhaps this is the best move he could make, don't you think? If he is not having decent projects pitched his way through Jacobs, then maybe it is time to bring in a fresh perspective.

While Depp's career is tanking, his love life seems to be back on solid footing after a rocky patch with Amber Heard. The actress was reportedly mortified when her man showed up onstage drunk last November to present an award, and it prompted some pretty sweeping changes. Depp has spent the last several weeks at home successfully climbing back onto the proverbial wagon. It is a shame that his first public outings have been to promote lackluster projects, isn't it?
