Canadian producer deadmanu5 -- real name Joel Zimmerman -- is known for his impressive collection of studio hardware that includes a variety of different analog, modular synths and sequencers. Deadmau5 recently took to his Instagram to show off the hardware he has installed in his new studio and for any gear head it is mighty impressive, via Mixmag.

Zimmerman announced in a Reddit AMA recently that he working on the follow-up to his 2013 ghoulish EP 7, which explored the seven deadly sins. As you can hear from the two videos, Zimmerman is working on the next record, titled Seven Virtues, which will follow the themes of those topics.

The "Strobe" producer recently closed out the legendary Toronto music venue Guvernment last Sunday, Jan. 25, where he premiered a special edit of "Strobe" for the occasion.

After a sparse year touring-wise for Zimmerman in 2014, he will be back on the road for a few already-announced dates this summer for the busy festival season. Zimmerman has been announced to headline New York's Governors Ball and Bonnaroo in Tennessee, but there are surely more dates to come. He is still prepping to go on his own Entropy World Tour, which will be his biggest and boldest solo tour yet. Few details exist about the tour, but it should be impressive.
