Beyoncé is arguably the biggest female music star on the planet, save for maybe Taylor Swift. But now even Swift is announcing her obsession with the "Drunk In Love" singer. In an interview with KissFMUK ahead of her 2015 Brit Awards Performance, she disclosed just how much she loves Bey.
"It's like normal for everyone to love Beyoncé," she said. "But I love her more than that amount, more the normal amount. I try really hard to not let it get creepy. I just really channel it into a joyous admiration and appreciation."
Elsewhere in the interview, she talks about going up against her peers at awards shows.
"Here's the thing about these award shows, you know I'm nominated usually against lots of my friends," she said. "You have to, just for the sake of humanity and the sake of having a good time, you have to legitimately be happy for other people. "
When asked what has changed since she performed "Trouble" at the Brit Awards in 2013, she said that her hair was shorter and she had grown taller.
"My hair is shorter. I think I'm taller [by] like an inch, which means I'm like the latest developing human in the world," she joked. "But my hair got shorter. I actually cut it here at the O2, back here backstage. We did five or six O2 shows and like after the last one, it was a bunch of my friends all in the dressing room, like Ellie Goulding was there, Cara was there, a bunch of people who were going to be at the Brits or at the after party. They like all watched me get my haircut. I had been planning it for like six months."
Beyond physical changes in height and hair length, Swift has experienced a few other changes in her personal and professional life as well.
"A lot of things are different," she told them. "I have a lot more like really good girl friends. I guess I have a pop album now. So that's different. Lots of stuff is different."
When asked about what she has on her rider, she said she keeps it to the essentials.
"Water and Diet Coke," Taylor said. "I'm a disappointing person when it comes to extravagant celebrity stuff . . . [But] people don't really come around like 'Hey, we've got a bowl of diamonds, would you like some?'"
Going back to the fact that Swift is often competing with her friends, she said that she plans to hang out with both Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran while in the UK.
"Both of them like to have fun," she explained. "Ed I've definitely been at more bars with because we toured for like a year together. And Ed always wants everyone to do shots, but Sam knows how to throw a great party — like he threw a great post-Grammys party. So I'd say it's gonna be like the three musketeers. I don't think it's going to be like me with one or the other."
The BRITS will broadcast live February 25. Listen to the full interview below.
