Not only is Justin Bieber not retiring, but the Journals singer is hard at work. While most were eating, drinking and being plain ol' merry over the holiday season, the Biebz was in the studio working on what could quite possibly be a brand new album.
According to producer Douglas Romanow's Twitter (via Rolling Stone), Bieber spent New Year's Day 2014 recording music in Toronto. "Justin Bieber's retirement rumors are greatly exaggerated > I've been recording him in Toronto #bieberintoronto," Romanow tweeted on Jan. 1, alongside a photo (seen above).
Of course, Bieber was never really retiring. On Christmas Eve, he tweeted that he was retiring from the music industry, only to tweet several minutes later that he would be around "forever." The confusing messages have since been explained away by his PR people as a "joke" that resulted from frustration.
It's unknown what project Bieber is working on, as the singer has been known to record remakes and covers lately, as well as collaborations with artists such as Tyga and R. Kelly.
However, Bieber is due for a new album in 2014. Though he just released 10 Music Mondays singles late last year and five new songs to make Journals, Bieber also teased that he world drop another LP in an announcement to Billboard. According to the music news website, Bieber is planning his fourth studio album for the final quarter of this year.
This is quite the good news for Beliebers, who thought their idol was done making music only two weeks ago.
