Earlier this week, Waka Flocka Flame sat down with MTV News and talked about a variety of things including his forthcoming Flockaveli 2 album. One of the highlights of the interview was when Waka said his beef with Gucci Mane is over.
During the interview, Waka was asked about his current relationship with his mentor and frequent collaborator. He reassured fans that the two are on good terms.
"We're always in a good place. I'd just say [from a] business point of view, it'll never happen," he said. "Just because a snake's frozen right now, when it thaws out don't mean it ain't gonna bite you ... [But] it's under the rug, man. F*ck it. It is what it is."
Both rappers exchanged numerous disses after Gucci dropped Waka from the Bricksquad 1017 lineup back in 2013.
The "Hard In The Paint" rhymer went on to say that the blowup between the two MCs was overblown and more like a dispute between family members. "It just so happened that brothers are famous," he added. "It's like an argument, you'll be mad at your family [member], like 'f*ck her, I'll never talk to her again.' Then a year go by and you're like, 'I miss you girl.'"
As for Flockaveli 2, Waka said he's been on the road too much to release new music but the album is definitely coming in June. When asked what fans can expect, he said he's catering to those who love his underground sound.
"I feel like this album I'm going to just give them the underground sh*t," he said. "I really don't do the radio so you know how we rock."
