Miley Cyrus 'W' interview reveals 'Adore You' singer's thoughts on children, partying and racism

Miley Cyrus is without a doubt one of the biggest pop stars of 2014. Formerly constantly confused with her Disney TV persona Hannah Montana, Cyrus is now on the lips of even the most casual pop culture consumer... it's hard to not follow her every move. Despite all the buzz, paparazzi and social media activity, Cyrus somehow still manages to be an elusive famous figure. Though, she does occasionally open up.

Today (Feb. 3), W magazine released their cover profile of the "Adore You" singer, just 11 days before her Bangerz Tour kicks off in Vancouver. So, what did we find out about Cyrus from her interview with fellow famous person's child Ronan Farroe? Check out 5 things we learned from her W interview below:

5. She's not a particularly good listener.

Several times throughout the article, interviewer Ronan Farrow noted that Miley Cyrus wasn't totally focusing on his comments and questions. He noted that she talks like "a human text message," quickly changing from one topic of conversation to another and "rarely breathing."

4. She's not big on leaving the house.

As one could have surmised from her advice to Justin Bieber, Cyrus prefers to party, eat and just chill out at home. Farrow noted that despite owning four high-end vehicles, leaving her house orchestrates planning due to the paparazzi and she has enough amenities to have a good time at home. "I never leave the house. Why go to a movie? I've got a huge-a** TV. We've got a chef here that can make you great food. We don't need to leave. I would just rather be here where I'm completely locked in," she said.

3. She's doesn't like kids, despite being merely 21 years old.

In the relative scheme of things, Cyrus is little more than a kid herself, and despite catering largely to a younger audience, the former tween star does not care for children. "I don't love them because, I mean, I think I was around too many kids at one point-because I was around a lot of kids," she noted. Cyrus also remarked that kids are "f***ing mean," which is true when you revisit those middle school memories for more than a few seconds.

2. She likens her persona and music to punk rock and Joan Jett.

"I like that I'm associated with sexuality and the kind of punk-rock shit where we just don't care. Like Madonna or Blondie or Joan Jett -- Jett's the one that I still get a little shaky around," Cyrus said. "She did what I did in such a crazier way. I mean, girls then weren't supposed to wear leather pants and, like, f***ing rock out. And she did." Whether or not those comparisons are valid, Cyrus does have a point in that she likes to bend the rules. Never forget twerkgate 2013.

1. She thinks your racism criticisms are jealousy.

And it wouldn't be a Miley Cyrus profile without a little lack of self-awareness. Since her VMAs performance and affinity for twerking because large, Cyrus has been accused several times of appropriating African-American culture for her own gain and exploiting other less privileged groups, particularly little people, for giggles. However, she was quick to dismiss those criticisms and cast them off as jealousy of her success.

"I don't give a s***. I'm not Disney, where they have, like, an Asian girl, a black girl and a white girl, to be politically correct, and, like, everyone has bright-colored T-shirts. You know, it's like, I'm not making any kind of statement. Anyone that hates on you is always below you, because they're just jealous of what you have," she defended. Alright, then.
