Nearly two weeks after the release of its major label debut, Yung Rich Nation, the Migos opened up about their second album and promoting YRN with Offset in jail.
Quavo and Takeoff recently sat down with DJ Whoo Kid and revealed that they have more music ready to release, including a song with Lil Wayne.
"We've got another album that's sitting back already," Quavo said.
Though they did not mention any official details on the release of new music, Takeoff assured that the fresh tunes will drop with "perfect timing." During the interview, the two also discussed the difficulty of promoting their recently released album with an incarcerated group member.
"It definitely ain't cool 'cause you know it ain't cool having nobody in there," Quavo explained. "When we first started, he was locked up. It's just unfortunate. We did the same thing. We was all together. We know how to do it. We know how to hold him down. He know that we got the rock."
As previously reported, Offset remains in jail after being arrested for gun and drug charges during show at Georgia Southern University back in April. The arrest forced the Migos to push back their Yung Rich Nation tour and delay the album's release.
Back in May, it was reported that Offset was denied bond due to his past criminal history, which includes drug violations, burglary and criminal street gang activity. He reportedly shouted obscenities at the judge while leaving the courtroom as well.
Unfortunately, Offset has been behind bars for much of the group's mainstream success. He was noticeably absent from many of the group's early videos, including one for their breakout hit "Bando."
No word on when he will be released but hopefully he'll be able to enjoy some of the profits from YRN sooner than later. Stay tuned for more updates and if you haven't already, take a listen to YRN here.
