The 2015 MTV VMAs are adding a major comeback to its roster. On Wednesday (Aug. 26), the annual award show announced that Justin Bieber will be on hand to perform his new single "What Do You Mean?" at the show on Sunday, Aug. 30.
MTV made the announcement on its Instagram. Tying together the bizarre costuming of host Miley Cyrus, the network pasted 21-year-old Bieber's head over Cyrus' boobs to create a one-of-a-kind performer announcement.
Bieber is confirmed to perform his new single "What Do You Mean?" on the show. After a long promotional cycle, which included a flurry of Bieber's famous friends and associates posting a countdown to the single on social media, "What Do You Mean?" is finally due for release on Friday, Aug. 28.
The new single will lead up to Bieber's new record and return to music. His last studio album, Believe, was released in summer 2012.
Bieber joins a pack of already announced VMA performers. The Weeknd, Tori Kelly, Demi Lovato, Pharrell, Twenty One Pilots and A$AP Rocky are already announced for the annual broadcast. One more performer is also slated to be announced later today.
The 2015 MTV VMAs, hosted by Miley Cyrus, will air on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 9 p.m. on MTV.
