Migos Announces 'Back to the Bando' Project After Sharing Plans for New Album

The Migos are making good on their word. The group just announced their Back to the Bando project after sharing plans for a new album last month.

They took to Twitter to make the big reveal, but t is unclear whether the project will serve as a mixtape or an album.

Migos even kept the momentum going, releasing a new song titled "B*tch Dab" from the new project. The song plays on a trend sweeping through Vine and the hip-hop world alike.

In July, the trio released their highly anticipated major label debut, Yung Rich Nation. The album featured previously released tracks including "What A Feeling," "Recognition" and "Pipe It Up."

During an interview with DJ Whoo Kid last month, Quavo and Takeoff revealed that they have more music ready to release, including a song with Lil Wayne.

"We've got another album that's sitting back already," Quavo said.

Though they did not get into the specifics of the release of new music, Takeoff assured that the fresh tunes will drop with "perfect timing."

They also discussed the difficulty of promoting their debut album with an incarcerated group member: Offset. "It definitely ain't cool 'cause you know it ain't cool having nobody in there," Quavo explained. "When we first started, he was locked up. It's just unfortunate. We did the same thing. We was all together. We know how to do it. We know how to hold him down. He know that we got the rock."

The title for their new project is a presumed reference to the group's breakout hit "Bando." Last September, the Atlanta-based trio released a trap musical bearing the same name. The 17-minute short film highlighted the group's humble beginnings and their rise to fame, including an early time when they were performing at small clubs and not sold out venues.
