Modest Mouse announce short tour for May 2014, despite lack of new album info

Modest Mouse have no album release plans in sight (at least that anyone knows of), but that doesn't mean the alt-rockers don't have other plans... of the touring variety. As spring has sprung, all the shows are getting announced, and the "Float On" band is no different. Today (March 11), Modest Mouse announced a short 12-city tour for May.

According to Modest Mouse's official website and Facebook page, the new tour was booked around the band's gigs at the Shaky Knees Music Festival and Alabama's Hangout Fest, Modest Mouse will be focusing largely on the eastern half of the United States, with stops in Pennsylvania, Florida and Massachusetts.

Modest Mouse's short tour is bookended by joint gigs. On May 1 and 2, it will be taking on Portland's Crystal Ballroom alongside Survival Knife. May 23 and 24 will find Isaac Brock and co. with Brand New at the Brewery Ommegang in Cooperstown, N.Y.
