Singer-songwriter, model and sometimes actress, Sky Ferreira, just ditched her modeling agency CAA (Creative Artists Agency) for new representation at WME (William Morris Endeavor). She was also represented by IMG Models, which is a part of the WME and IMG takeover last year. Ferreira has always been known to be unpredictable -- note the recent hair color change to blue -- and is as infamous for her mugshots as she is for her fashion, music and occasional cinema appearances.
Sky is the current face of the new Jimmy Choo perfume "Illicit" and is soon to be featured in Paco Rabanne's upcoming fragrance campaign with Gabriel Day-Lewis, son of the famous actor Daniel Day Lewis. When interviewed for the "Illicit" campaign, Ferreira said, "I think that this is a good transition for people seeing a different side of me, more of a womanly side more so that just the grungy teenager."
Her off-beat sensibilities seem to also be working out as she starred in Eli Roth's recent horror flick, The Green Inferno, which showcased at the Toronto Film Festival in 2013 and is due out in the United States later this month. Billboard also reported that Sky also joined the cast of the biopic, Elvis & Nixon, featuring Michael Shannon and Kevin Spacey as leads and she will also appear in The Trust, a crime thriller starring Nicolas Cage and Elijah Wood.
However, Ferreira's most successful endeavor by far has been her musical career, with her sleeper debut LP, Night Time, My Time, debuting at No. 45 in the Billboard 200 and subsequently going on to being on Rolling Stone's list of top albums in 2013 and Pitchfork's list of the decade's top 100 albums.
Fuse recently pictured Ferreira in their "Celebrities Front Row At New York Fashion Week" slideshow and noted that she is in the process of recording her sophomore musical effort, Masochism, so the transition from CAA to WME doesn't seem to be hurting her any. She is still currently represented by Mosaic Records for her music projects.
