While the Internet has recently been swormed with speculation that Drake and Future have been working on a collaborative mixtape, fans have been waiting for solid confirmation from either rapper. Drizzy assured fans that a project is in the works and is slated to drop before his upcoming Views From The 6 album.
The Toronto rapper shared the big news during his set at the Music Midtown Festival in Atlanta on Friday (Sept. 18). In the middle of his performance, Drizzy reportedly told the crowd, "take a break from Views now it's back to that, and me and Future got a tape before that."
"Views From The Future" began trending on Twitter soon thereafter.
Drake even alluded to a possible release date as soon as this weekend. "Sunday will be madness," he also reportedly added on.

Earlier in the week, both rappers threw subtle hints that they'd been in the studio together with pictures shared on their respective Instagram accounts. Prior to that, a possible cover for the rumored mixtape combining Drake’s signature OVO owl and a variation of Future's favorite purple drink made its way to the Web
Initially, it was DJ Skee who sent the #FutureHive and fans of the 6 God into pandemonium when he sent out a tweet suggesting that two of the hottest artists in the hip-hop game were coming together to drop a collaborative project out of nowhere.
In the past, Future and Drake have collaborated on tracks including "Tony Montana," "Sh*t (Remix)" and P. Reign's "DnF." They also embarked on a mini tour together earlier this summer.
Aside from his collaborative work with Future, Drake has also been working on putting out his afforementioned LP. In August, he mentioned the album's release while commemorating the platinum status of If You're Reading This It's Too Late. He first revealed the title for Views last July during an interview with Billboard. It was highly speculated that the project would be released earlier this year because of a line from "0-100 / The Catch Up."
