Rolling Stones members offer condolences to Mick Jagger following L'Wren Scott's death

As previously reported, Mick Jagger posted a heartfelt message about his longtime girlfriend, famed fashion designer L'Wren Scott, who died of an apparent suicide earlier this week. He has postponed seven shows in Australia and New Zealand following the tragedy. Now band members Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts have released statements expressing support for Jagger.

"No one saw this coming," said Richards. "Mick's always been my soul brother and we love him. We're thick as thieves and we're all feeling for the man. We really hate to disappoint our fans, but we'll see everyone really soon."

Wood also offered his condolences but reiterated the band's desire to continue performing. "This is such terrible news and right now the important thing is that we are all pulling together to offer Mick our support and help him through this sad time," said Wood. "Without a doubt we intend to be back out on that stage as soon as we can."

The band has issued a statement on their website asking ticket holders to hold on to their tickets as new dates will be announced shortly.
