50 Cent Slams 'Empire,' Claims Cookie Lyon and He Hooked Up in Instragram Video [WATCH]

Rapper and jokester extraordinaire 50 Cent is up to his old antics. The "In Da Club" rapper claims he and Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) hooked up in a recent Instagram video after Empire took a jab at the mogul in the premiere of season 2 last night.

As the executive producer of Power, 50 Cent has had a longstanding feud with the FOX hit show after receiving numerous comparisons to one another. Just when the feud looked to be dead and buried, it appears that with the opening to the new season, it has been reignited.

Last night millions of households were tuning in to the kick off of Empire's second season. As per usual the writers and characters held no punches, and viewers were none too surprised when 50 Cent's name was mentioned in last night's opening episode. In a brief clip the rapper is mentioned in, Lyon refers to 50 Cent being " thirsty" for attention.

50 Cent retaliated by making a video insinuating that he and Lyon had hooked up prior. While most of 50 Cent's followers on social media know him to be a comedian -- as he has made Puffy Daddy, Floyd Mayweather and more the butt of his jokes -- he did raise a few eyebrows with the mention. However, most chalked it to 50 Cent's harmless ramblings.

Although the rapper filed for bankruptcy back in July, this clearly hasn't ruined his sense of humor and joking nature. Fifty has gone on record several times over cracking jokes on the FOX show, so clearly this won't be changing any time soon.
