Chile has been superb in 2015. They won the Copa America over the summer and defeated Brazil and Peru in a qualifiers' matches this fall, according to ESPN FC. Colombia, though, hasn't had the same kind of story.
While these teams have an exciting, back-and-forth history, according to our friends over at Latin Post, the Chileans just seem unstoppable this year. Luckily for Colombia, Rodriguez is back.
"James is extraordinary," manager Jose Pekerman said ahead of the game. "With him, the team is something else. He is in great shape. He suffered because he could not play in the first two qualifying matches and is preparing in the best way to face Chile and Argentina (Colombia's next two games). I admire him. I am delighted to count on one of the best players in the world. With James in good condition, we are able to have many variations."
We're expecting a big game today.
