After photos from Barcelona's training sessions and even a confirmation from Adidas, it looks like star footballer Lionel Messi is set to take on his "rival," Cristiano Ronaldo today in the biggest Spanish football event of the year. This has yet to be confirmed, but plenty of reports are saying that it is likely we'll see the number one athlete in the world in action against the number two.
Manager Luis Enrique explained that Messi's presence will be a game-time decision.
"Whether Messi plays or not, I prefer him to play of course, the great news is that he is fit again," he explained, according to ESPN FC. "When will I make the decision about Messi starting or not? I'll talk today with him, tomorrow, and it'll be decided an hour before the game. We know he's not going to be 100 percent fit, coming back from injury, depends how he feels, but it's great for us he's back. Only the player can only tell you how he is feeling."
Even if Messi is absent due to injury, star Barcelona players like Neymar and Luis Suarez have proven they're capable of leading the team and getting goals, according to Bleacher Report.
