In recent days, Wiz Khalifa shared a new edition of his DayToday vlog and announced that he will be releasing a Cabin Fever 3 mixtape.
In the video posted on Thursday (Nov. 19), Wiz tears down the stage during performances with Ty Dolla $ign and Curren$y. He also previews new music, including a track produced by Sonny Digital. K Camp makes an appearance as well. The nearly eight and a half-minute clip ends with the mixtape title and “coming soon.”
As noted by HipHopDX, Wiz released the first Cabin Fever back in 2011 and followed with the second installment in 2012. Both tapes have more than one million downloads on Datpiff.
In October, the “See You Again” rapper dropped two new songs ("Just Because" produced by Harry Fraud and "Outsiders," which features production by Big Jerm & Christo) via SoundCloud. More recently, Wiz shared a sexual cut titled "Fucc Day."
Earlier this year, Wiz hinted at the release of a new album, a sequel to 2011's Rolling Papers, which spawned the chart-topping hit, “Black and Yellow.” He first announced Rolling Papers 2: The Weed Album back in May via Twitter. His most recent album, Blacc Hollywood, was released in 2014 and spawned fan favorites including “We Dem Boyz,” “You and Your Friends,” “Promises,” “So High” and “Staying Out All Night.”
Wiz Khalifa earned his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with the release of Blacc Hollywood. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the album, which was released last August, sold 90,000 copies in its first week. Prior to its release, he spoke highly of the album.
"I feel like Blacc Hollywood is my best, most solid effort, because I'm happy with everything that's going into it and how I project it to come out even before the CD even comes out," he said. "I'm most confident in this one, [more] than I've ever been in any of my albums."
Hopefully Rolling Papers 2 will follow suit. Check back with us for more updates.
