Justin Bieber has dropped yet another new, free song on his Soundcloud. After just releasing "Hard 2 Face Reality" over the weekend, today (April 28), Bieber dropped "We Were Born For This" to his fans.

While "Hard 2 Face Reality" and even February's "Broken" continued on the Journals path of stripped down, '90s-influenced R&B, "We Were Born For This" is a laidback, acoustic guitar-driven number that shows off Bieber's raw musical skills.

"We Were Born" eschews drum machines, synth and heavy production and opts instead for the bare bones, both in terms of production and musicality.

The acoustic guitar is expertly plucked over a light string instrumental backing, as Bieber reaches into his higher register to sing about a forlorn love lost. The track is a pure pop ballad, with the emotion seeping through in Bieber's vocals. It's a different side to the jaded, oftentimes bratty pop star, and it showcases a vulnerability that Bieber should show a little bit more often.
