At long last, What So Not has released his long awaited Gemini EP. He unveiled earlier this month that the EP would be released on Dec. 18 and now that the clock has crossed over to Friday in Australia, Emoh Instead has unveiled the full EP for his fans as an unexpected free download. Coming in at five tracks, this EP features the likes of Dillon Francis, KLP and George Maple.
The EP has a bit of everything on it. From the diverse rhythms and electric guitar on "Death Drive" to the booming percussion on "Gemini" and quirky synth work on "Oddity," this EP showcases the interesting sounds and styles that What So Not has decided to incorporate into this EP. Each song has a vocal component, which gives the rhythms an extra melodic element to them
One notable song that was not included was "Goh" featuring Skrillex and KLP, which has been in the works for well over a year and was expected to be on this EP.
The saga of What So Not has been a rocky one over the past year. Flume used to be a part of the project, but left due to artistic differences, leaving Emoh Instead the sole conductor of the What So Not name, which still continues to tour expansively and produce music like this new EP.
You can stream the full EP below on SoundCloud, pick it up for free on his website or purchase a copy to support the producer on iTunes via OWSLA / Sweat It Out.
