Scottish producer, DJ Rustie has announced that he is canceling all upcoming shows due to "addiction & mental health problems." In addition to staying off the road, he will enter radio silence on social media, leaving all posts to his management team. Rustie revealed the news on his Twitter account over the weekend.
The Glaswegian has been battling diabetes, which forced him into the hospital earlier this fall, where he decided to share some old tracks and something new during his stay.
Earlier this year, Rustie released his third album EVENIFUDONTBELIEVE as a complete surprise. It was a bit different from his other efforts as it was entirely instrumental and he has not experimented with the surprise album. With his previous album Green Valley, which featured Danny Brown among others.
Rustie has not said what he will do during this time off of the road. He could use it to step away from music and recharge or make some more music to be unleashed in 2016. We wish Rustie the best of luck with his recovery and hope he is back and better than ever when he feels it is right to get back into the public eye and on the road again.
