Jimmy Henchman's Imprisonment, Rumored Involvement in Tupac Shooting Reviewed In Docu-Series

Over the years, incarcerated former music exec Jimmy Henchman has made quite a name for himself for infamous reasons. Though a good portion of his story remains untold, Henchman's imprisonment and rumored involvement in the shooting incident that left Tupac wounded in 1994, among other things, will be reviewed in a forthcoming docs-series.

Go To Ground News (G2G) recently released a trailer of a documentary series about Henchman, born James Rosemond, and his legal and criminal history. Titled Unjust Justice: The Jimmy Rosemond Tapes, the series will be broken up into 10 parts and will also debut as a podcast. Don Sikorski, G2G’s investigative reporter and curator, spoke on his interest in exploring Henchman’s case.

“When I looked at the trial transcripts of the cases and the evidence presented in court, I knew I wanted to delve deeper into Jimmy’s story,” Sikorski said. “His name has been inserted into many conspiracy theories in the industry and I wanted to set the record straight, not only with journalistic integrity, but also allow the audience to hear for the first time from Jimmy directly on all these rumors about his life. I’m shocked at most of the evidence and stories I’ve learned thus far through my investigation.”

Last March, the former CEO of Czar Entertainment was sentenced a second life term in prison for his involvement in the 2009 murder of G-Unit affiliate Lowell Fletcher. Henchman received his first life sentence for drug trafficking charges in 2013.

For decades, it has been rumored that Henchman played a part in the shooting of Tupac at New York City’s Quad Studios. As noted by The Source, the incident sparked the East Coast-West Coast feud after the “California Love” rapper accused Puff Daddy and Notorious B.I.G. of being involved in the attack. Tupac name-dropped Henchman and others on a track titled “Against All Odds” from his posthumous 1996 album The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory.

Unjust Justice: The Jimmy Rosemond Tapes premieres February 1.
