Dead & Company Announce 17-Date U.S. Summer Tour for 2016

After the Grateful Dead 50th anniversary Fare Thee Well stint in Santa Clara and Chicago, three of four "Core Four" members, Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, decided to keep truckin' on, playing their classic tunes under a new moniker with the help of John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti. Weir recently admitted that Dead & Company would be making moves in 2016. Looks like the long strange trip will continue on through the United States with a highly anticipated 2016 summer tour.

The Grateful Dead and Dead & Co. have been the hub of buzzing rumors, all-new events and promotions such as a Fenway Park tribute night and the impending, limited-run Amazon bio-series centered on the Palo Alto musicians.

Rumors quickly surfaced on Phish message boards and fan websites concerning leaked potential 2016 tour dates while The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon mistakenly revealed that Dead & Co. would make their first national TV performance on his late night show Feb. 18.

Now, those rumors have been confirmed with a round of U.S. tour dates. According to UltimateClassicRock, Dead & Co. will be kicking off a new tour on June 10. The live shows will continue throughout the summer, hitting stadiums in Boulder, Boston, New York and more.

Ticket pre-sale begins tomorrow at 10 a.m. while public sale starts on Friday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m.
