Eric Decker and Jessie James Decker attend the 2014 CMT Music awards at the Bridgestone Arena on June 4, 2014 in Nashville, Tennessee.
NY Jets receiver Eric Decker had a choice to make this week -- go to an organized team activity (OTA) or go to the CMT Awards and present with his wife, Jessie James Decker. Country music won out hands down. It was a no-brainer for the new dad even if he did just sign a $36 million dollar, 5-year contract. After all, Jessie isn't just his wife, she also the mother of his first child, a daughter named Vivianne Rose Decker.

Luckily for Decker, Jets head coach Rex Ryan totally got it and didn't have any issues with Eric missing the team camp. He told NJ.com, "Well, speaking as a married guy, absolutely recommended that you would go to that, OK? You ask for their support, you need to support them, too."

The fact that the mini-camp was voluntary and pretty far out before the season also played into it. Ryan said, "This is really voluntary camps, there's no doubt about it. Things like this pop up. It's the time of year to do it; it's not like it happened during the season. Certainly, we support Eric and things, and he's being treated no different than any other teammate, regardless of how much they're making."

So while the rest of the team was out there sweating, Eric was hanging out in Nashville, being a loving and supportive husband. Can't fault a guy for that!
