Juan Mata of Manchester spoke to the press after the Liverpool loss, explaining that the FA Cup game today could serve as a positive reaction for the team.
"The FA Cup is very special for all of us and it is against a very good team like West Ham," the footballer told his team's website. "We need to recover as soon as possible and then focus just on the FA Cup. Then, after the weekend, we can look at the Europa League again. It was not a good performance and not a good result obviously. But we need to move on; we need to win on Sunday. It is a chance to play at Wembley again."
Meanwhile, West Ham coach Slaven Bilic opened up about the importance of today's game for both teams.
"They are like a wounded lion, they have a massive game against us," the manager explained, according to BBC.com. "It's going to be very difficult but are we confident? Yes of course we are confident, but not because Manchester United didn't play well (against Liverpool). We are confident because we are playing well. But it would be dangerous, suicidal, if we approach the game like 'they are playing badly, we are playing well, and we are going to cruise it'. No way we will do that."
