Marc Anthony has travelled around the world gracing millions of audience members with some of his greatest hits. Despite being an international superstar, there's one iconic place in New York where's never performed. Near the end of August, Anthony will hit the stage at the infamous Radio City Music Hall for the first time ever.
A press release confirmed the 47-year-old New York native will conduct a series of concerts known as the Marc Anthony Private Collection. The selected performances will reportedly take the audience on an intimate journey throughout his musical career.
Just last month, the "Vivir Mi Vida" singer landed his way at the number one spot on Billboard's weekly Hot Tours list. Anthony became the top ticket-seller, generating $4.5 million in sales alone from his three concerts in the NYC metropolitan area.
"Radio City Music Hall is a legendary venue where many acclaimed figures have performed, but until now, I hadn't had the chance to bring my show to that stage," Anthony said, according to Billboard. "Coming back home with my music is always an honor. Knowing that I am having the chance to perform at the showplace of the nation and one of New York's landmarks means more than my words can express."
The announcement comes shortly after Jennifer Lopez's ex-husband and father of her children was awarded with a Guinness World Record for Most Year-End Best-Selling Albums in the Tropical Albums Chart by a Solo Artist. He shares the title with Romeo Santos and Eddie Santiago.
The Latin crooner is one of the best selling salsa artists of all time, with over 12 million albums sold worldwide. Anthony has earned two Grammys and five Latin Grammys.
Marc Anthony is scheduled to rock the stage at Radio City Music Hall from August 26 to 28. Fans can order their tickets as early Friday, March 18. For more concert information, click here.
